A bearded man in a baseball cap, standing in a sunny green field, holding a sign that says 'Jack's Patch'.

Discover the joy of growing your own food at home in this fun, free practical workshop with Jack Hodgson, founder of Jack’s Patch.

Learn how to plant and nurture mushrooms and microgreens, turning your space into a haven for home-grown food. Jack will share practical techniques for growing food at home, alongside his belief that cultivating your own produce isn’t just about sustenance; it’s about joy, memory, and connection.

A passionate edible landscape designer and permaculture specialist, Jack began with a quarter-acre micro-farm on the edge of London, producing rare and organic vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers for top chefs and local communities. Since then, Jack’s work has evolved into designing and building edible landscapes — transforming rooftops, gardens and full-scale farms into living ecosystems featured in RHS showcases, BBC London Radio and Grand Designs.

Celebrating sustainability, this workshop will leave you feeling inspired about how food, nature, and people can thrive together.
