Our Stories
We’re seeking contributions from across Havering’s diverse communities to uncover and celebrate the borough’s untold heritage. Whether you’re part of a community of interest, of place, of practice, or identity, this opportunity is for you.
Do you have a personal, family or community story connected to a specific place in Havering? Is there a cultural space, or local tradition that isn’t documented anywhere? Or maybe you want to share how your neighbourhood has changed over time and what that place means to different generations. We want to hear it.
You can apply for up to £4500 to support engagement with the community, materials and to tell your story in a creative way – for example, through film, poetry, sculpture, cookbooks and more. Selected stories will become part of a permanent digital heritage map.
