Join Thames Chase Art Club for a relaxed and inspiring drop-in session celebrating the heritage, landscape and stories of our local community. Set within the grounds of Thames Chase Community Forest, this creative gathering invites you to explore what makes our area unique — from its historic buildings and rural views to the memories, traditions and cultures that shape how we see the world.

Taking place beside our beautiful 17th-century heritage barn, the session offers a rare opportunity to create artwork in a setting steeped in history. The barn itself stands as a reminder of the area’s agricultural past and enduring connection to the land — a perfect backdrop for reflecting on how our surroundings influence our identity and creativity.

Local artist Lucia Hardy will be leading a drop in session for creativity in beautiful surroundings.

Whether you’re inspired by the textures of timber beams, the open countryside, local landmarks, or your own personal experiences of the area, this session is about expressing your connection to place. All ages and abilities are welcome — from experienced artists to those simply curious to try something new.

Come along, soak up the creative energy, and be part of celebrating our shared heritage through art. Drop in, pick up a brush or pencil, and help us tell the story of our local community — past, present and future.

Part of A Good Life Day, a borough-wide programme of free creative activity. With workshops, performances and exhibitions, there’s something for everyone.
